Welcome to Egerton University. Egerton University is one of the public universities in Kenya. The University main campus is located at Njoro. Four other campuses are at Laikipia, Kisii, Kenyatta and Nakuru town.
Egerton University mission is to participate in the discovery, transmission and preservation of knowledge and to stimulate the intellectual life, economic and cultural development of Kenya.

Njoro Campus is situated in the central Rift Valley on a beautiful geographical landscape, and good climate, excellent for learning. Egerton University has a diverse student body with students drawn from a wide range of interests and life experiences all driven by the common need, goal and ambition for success.

We are committed to the highest standards of teaching and research across the broad range of disciplines offered at all the levels.
We take interest in the welfare of our students. They have access to the resources to enable them to receive quality education. The University offers a wide variety of services and amenities ensuring that students are exposed to ample techniques. We also offer counselling services, international student services, spiritual guidance and education for students growth.
Students are advised to reciprocate by maintaining high discipline in order to fully utilize the resources available to them. To assist students meet national and individual goals, we pay special attention to questions of ethical conduct in all spheres of life (academic, social and spiritual). We train our students to realize that for them to acquire high standards of education, they need to be intellectually honest and to be ready to give credit to others.
In case students have problems, they should seek advice from their faculty advisors, the Dean of Students, the Board of Undergraduate Studies, and the Graduate School. This handbook provides a useful summary of matters related to University administrative structure, policies, services, rules and regulations governing studentsâ?? conduct, responsibilities and channels of communication available to them to enhance a good campus environment. Students are advised to consult relevant departments to seek help and guidance and to enhance good working relationships, between them and staff.
